Can I use the text chat feature with anyone I call?
At this time, the text chat feature works in two situations:
• to text chat with another Z4 user during a point-to-point call
• to text chat with the video interpreter during a VRS call
If the text chat box says, “The person you are currently calling does not support the text chat feature.”
What does that mean?
The person you are calling is not using Z4.
Can I download My Contacts from the website to Z4?
My Contacts from your profile will automatically sync with your Z4.
Can I call any videophone from my Z4?
Of course you can! As long as the other party has a registered local number or IP address.
Can I use the Z flasher with Z4?
No, the flasher is not designed to work with Z4. However, a large pop-up box with caller ID will appear on your screen to alert you to incoming calls. (It will also ring, if you have your computer’s volume setting turned on.)
Does Z4 have Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) capabilities?
Yes, it does! For instance, you can type in your own credit card number in the keyboard rather than signing the number to the video interpreter.
How do I enable full screen view?
During a call, press the Esc key on your keyboard.
How do I turn on my privacy screen?
There are two ways to do this:
• Press the blue eye next to your self-view OR
• Press the spacebar on your computer keyboard
What is three-way video?
With three-way video, you can connect to up to two people at the same time.
What is the presentation feature?
When you place a call from Z4, you can show any application (AIM, PowerPoint, PDF, Word, Excel, pictures, etc.) from your computer screen to the other caller. Transmit an application window or the entire desktop as a separate real-time video stream to the other caller, no matter what kind of videophone the other caller is using.
